We saw some dolphins on the ferry ride. Cameron said it was his first time seeing dolphins ever!
The beach had beautiful white sand, the weather was hot, and it wasn't crowded. The water was a chilly 65 degrees so our family got in the water for a short time. You do kind of get used to the cold, but after I got out one time it was hard to get back in!
The kids were loving the sand and building all kinds of sand moats. Noelle wasn't happy with the beach or sand on Sunday but on this trip she started to get used to it.
It was so dreamy. Very few people were there and if you walked a half mile you had the entire beach to yourself. It was much more my kind of vacation. Noelle stayed under a little shade tent for a lot of the time.
You get four hours of play time before you have to get back on the ferry and come back to Honeymoon Island. It was the perfect amount of time.
Unfortunately towards the end of the swimming Dax started to feel pain in his eyes and shoulders. He had jumped into the water early on and I didn't get sunscreen on him in time. I had to wait a little bit for him to dry off and then I put it on. He got the worst sunburn.
Kian and Cruz faired better than Dax but still had burns on the spots where we missed putting on sunscreen. Cameron also got a bad sunburn but I have no sympathy for him haha. He chose to put only the tiniest amount of sunscreen on his face. His back was ridiculously red. The rest of the Porter clan that came with us all sported burns too.
By Tuesday, no one really wanted to go outside, but I managed to convince our family to go orange picking.
They had a Disney store and a Lego Store. We spent most of the time at the lego store. Noelle played for a little bit but then just wanted me to take pictures her.
By the time we left the Lego store Noelle was passed out. The boys were excited because they each got a good size lego set as a souvenir.
It was our last day in Florida before traveling home so we packed up the rest of the evening while the boys put together Lego sets.
