Dear Winter, please go away and don't come back until next year. Love, the Porter Family

Last Sunday, it sleeted and we had freezing rain in the morning. Church was cancelled. For the third time this year. And it's funny, it's been on the first Sunday of every month like clock work.

The weather didn't seem too bad, but a few hours later we were happy to be home. It started to sleet more then it turned into snow. The 2 inches we were suppose to get turned into 5 by Monday morning. The boys were so good, they just played all day. And Cameron and I relaxed and read books. But, you know, there was some other stuff in between... like climbing on furniture.

Cruz had his 12th snow day on Monday. Crazy right?! They have only a few snow plows here so once everybody drives on the snow and it ices over at night, it really is super slippery.  By Monday I was already stir crazy. But we went outside for family home evening and shoveled our 89(!) year old neighbor Iris' driveway. We came home happy (well everyone but Kian who was cold).

On Tuesday, Cruz had snow day #13. Cruz likes to be busy and out and about so he wasn't as pleasant as the days prior. But we made it. We went out and played in the snow because it finally started to warm up.

Nice, sweet Kian...for a minute at least.
Kian armed and ready with a snowball.

Kian chucked is snowball at the snowman. Ahh yes, that's boys for you.
And Cruz, no shoes. Haha!
Thankfully, the snows all melted now. Hopefully for the last time this year. Snow is fun, for a little while, but we're all ready for spring.
