Cruz's First Archery Tournament

At our elementary school, the fourth grade does an archery team. Cruz had to try out for it as lots of kids want to be on the team. After several weeks of try outs he came home happily and exclaimed he made the team. He has been practicing a lot and had his first tournament on his birthday! We went along with him to Branson to watch.

 Half the team shot at 11am and the other half shot at 12. Cruz was in the first group.

 They got a warm up with 5 shots.

They did five shots each time, three times from 10 meters and three times from 15 meters. There were 3 other schools there shooting at the 11am hour. I think they had 4 schools lined up for each hour!

Cruz is in the middle of this picture -look for the tall socks. It was the first archery tournament that any from our family had been to and was fun to watch! Cruz got 2nd for his school, and 10th for 4th grade boys- a great job for his first time!
